dc.description | Welcome to the Introduction to Physical Analytical Chemistry. In this course, we will explore the fundamental principles and concepts of spectroscopy, the branch of science that investigates the interaction of light with matter. Physical Analytical Chemistry is a fascinating field that combines aspects of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The study enables us to determine the chemical structures of simple organic molecules. However, its application can also be extended to biomolecules, such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids. I can assure you will enjoy studying the course. This course guide is a general overview of the course. It provides you with useful information about the structure of the course. CHM 212 – Physical Analytical Chemistry is a 2-credit unit course meant to be taken in the second semester, at the BSc degree level. The course is available to all second-year students offering Chemistry and Biology, who have registered for degree programme at Open Distance Learning ODL of Sierra Leone. It is the first part of the two credit unit courses planned for an entire year. The materials have been developed to suit the distance learning mode | |
